This is a fic about pushing a 'weak' power to its absolute limits. It's also a fic about Taylor biting off way more than she can chew and then chewing anyway, consequences be damned. She might not be able to beat an average guy in a fistfight, but boy can she be a pain in the neck for anyone dumb enough to think that means they can take her on.

In the aftermath of a failed slave revolt on the garrison world of Lepis-1, death seemed certain for Stetts and Alvara at the hands of the masters, and a clean death was better than being tortured as an example, but clean deaths were hard to come by when their skin was harder than tank armor. Rescue at the hands of a sword-wielding warrior had seemed a brief flicker of hope, but it didn’t take long for Stetts and Alvara to realize the king of Vanaheimr wanted an exotic slave, and intended to kill one of them to cow the other.
Meanwhile, Queen Frigga of Ásgarðr had never stopped believing in the survival of her youngest son, Prince Stéttaván, whom had been taken from her bloodied arms as a babe, and when her brother Freyr, the King of Vanaheinr, sent word her son had been found, she set out at once whilst her husband, King Óðinn, remained behind to prepare the delicate politics of the court for their youngest child’s return.
