i’m an elderly millennial from the northeast US. i was heavily involved in fanfic / fandom communities in my middle + high school days of the 00’s and early 10’s. Back when the questions from a “which Naruto character is your true love?” quiz on quizilla would stare into the deepest corners of your soul, only to bash you over the head with the fluffiest 3k reader insert fic with your least favorite character.
Anywho.. i stepped away from online fan spaces for about a decade, and 10+ years later am just starting to fall back in love with all things fanfiction. i love commenting on fics with copious hype and loud encouragement. Think Kris Jenner’s “good job Kylie! you’re doing amazing, sweetie!” but you the author/artist is Kylie just pushing a grocery cart through the parking lot like “uhh… ok? thx…?”
