Made a new account to post my old leodia works. Didn’t want them on my og account anymore but still wanted them to be accessible to the fandom.

Chapter 1: I. Demon

Chapter Text

A twitch in the torso, and a whimper of the last breath. The hands that had been gripped onto Evelynn’s hips relaxed and fell to the side. The moans that had filled up the tent crescendoed into a dead silence, enough to make the demon hear her own manic breaths that resulted from the high of another kill.

Evelynn expressed mirth as she grinned against her victim’s neck, flicking her tongue against his bloodied jugular. His dirty little secret had been the trick to getting him under her charms. A good little soldier who loved the sun so much he picked up a spear for it. Or at least that’s what he told himself. Not even that burning ray of light in the sky could shine through when pitted against his raging lust for a fellow Ra’Horak warrior. Unrequited, until the very end.

“Too easy”, Evelynn snickered as she booped the dead man on the nose before retrieving her claws from inside the Solari soldier’s neck and licking them clean. She removed herself from straddling his waist, and smiled down at the remains of her meal, watching the pool of red around his neck grow as if she was admiring a painting. If she wasn’t so glutted, she would have allowed herself to indulge in licking his guts clean from the ground. But alas, Evelynn was surrounded by some of the finest dishes in the Shuriman continent. Top-tier meals, if she did say so herself.

She was in Targon, home of the Solari tribe. And Evelynn had noticed something interesting about Solari warriors. They were all the same. Tall, strong, and ignorant. Those who thought small always tended to be happier, and Evelynn had every intention to go rabid in her newfound environment.

She’d just satisfied herself with a marvelous catch, but still, her homicidal tendencies were tingling. She scooped up a drop of blood that had landed on her thigh and savored the last taste of the dense warrior on her tongue before noticing the chatter around her tent had gone quiet. She sneaked to the entrance and peeked through the cloth to get a glimpse of what was going on.

She skimmed through a crowd of warriors and noticed their attention all seemed to be lingering on something. Evelynn let her lambent pupils follow their gaze until she landed on what everyone seemed to be marveling at.

Ah,

She couldn’t help but grin wide enough for her razor-sharp teeth to show.

It must be my lucky day.

Standing tall amongst her people, graciously reflecting the sunlight, the Radiant Dawn took up the empty space with her extravagant armor and mighty form, marching along the path the crowd had paved for her. Evelynn couldn’t see her face, only the back of her long wavy hair and the golden headpiece that mimicked the rays of the sun’s light.

Evelynn licked her lips tempestuously. She could tell from the woman’s stance that she embodied the same pitiful righteousness and bogus beliefs that seemed to plague the rest of the sun worshippers of Mount Targon.

The demon swallowed the drool that had been pooling in her mouth. If her people tasted so good, she couldn’t imagine what the elite warrior herself would feel like on the buds of her tongue. She was currently eyeing not only a mouthwatering catch, but a shot at securing a name for herself in the mountainous region. The life of a blessed figure, ruined and marred by her very touch. If she could kill an aspect…

She looked back at her leftovers from her previous meal. The pool of blood was only growing, and Evelynn could already feel herself growing famished again. She made a decision before retreating her gaze back to the Radiant Dawn. She would wait for the sun to set and strike her then. Would be too cruel to make the woman suffer under her beloved light.

She heard footsteps from inside the tent and quickly hid in the shadows.

“Helios?” The call of a woman’s voice filled up the tent, along with the rustle of armor.

Evelynn recognized the voice, it was the woman of her latest victim’s desires. The hearty, beautiful Ra’Horak warrior that Evelynn had the privilege of viewing through the lens of her smitten, tasty meal. The demon retreated from the shadows and faced her. The woman looked at her with bug eyes, before retreating her gaze to the corpse on the floor. She dropped her spear and lifted a hand to cover her mouth.

“Wh- what is this? Helios, you-you're dead!”

Evelynn let out a small breath through a snicker. She then let out another one a few seconds later and slowly let it escalate to a peal of maniacal laughter. Oh, humans were so much fun.

Maybe not so unrequited after all.

She didn’t let a second pass before pouncing at the woman. She tried to let out a scream but Evelynn clamped her mouth shut before it could leave her throat. “No use, babe.” She whispered in her ear.

The woman struggled in her grip, trying to reach for her spear, as Evelynn contemplated dessert.

Perhaps a little sugar won’t hurt, she decided, before pulling the woman’s hair so her neck fell back, and bit square into her throat.
