Work Text:
Hand in hand, they walk together along the street. One trails behind them. Always Sam left behind. Brian plants a kiss on Ben's cheek and shares whispered words for just them. He swallows down words, shouts and remarks. Fights the urge to scream, "You wouldn't know each other without me!"
Maybe he's lonely. Maybe he's scared that they'll both leave him.
Brian flashes a cheesy smile at him, "You alright, Wendy?"
And then it hits him: his thoughts aren't true, they just assume the worst. Because between Brian's inappropriate jokes and Ben's colourful clothes, they would never leave him. Never.
