Work Text:
“I love you, Sanemi Shinazugawa,” she whispered before sighing repeatedly in pure, unadulterated bliss.
If Sanemi Shinazugawa weren’t currently deep inside of Kanae Shinazugawa née Kocho, he would’ve turned into more of a blushing and stuttering mess than he already was. Currently, he was looking at anything but her bright, big, pale pink eyes, avoiding any eye contact. Instead, he opted to brush his knuckles across her cheeks, where not a single freckle or scar was present, which was a far contrast from his heavily freckled and scarred face.
“You are one crazy woman,” he said with a grunt. Squeezing her plump lips, he added, “But I’m even crazier because I’m all yours to do with as you please!”
She giggled at this.
“I love you, Sanemi Shinazugawa.”
His large, calloused palms with long, thick fingers to match were careful and precise with the way they gently stroked her dark, long locks. He was no poet, that honorable title belonged to his younger brother, but if he were to compare the color of her hair to anything, he’d compare it to the iris flowers she highly adored with all of her heart because they were similar shades of dark purple. If his hair was coarse, then hers was silky. If his skin was rough, then hers was soft.
“I love you, Sanemi Shinazugawa.”
Slowly, he caressed her lower abdomen, the underside of her belly, which had a scar from a surgical incision. This was the only scar she possessed on her body, and instead of marring her, it only made her even more beautiful. She was always so beautiful, but this scar made her the most beautiful woman in the entire world, according to him.
“Must you always pay attention to that particular part of my body?”
She heard no reply from him. Instead, she received several of the most chaste of kisses on the scar, all light, feathery kisses in which she barely even felt his mouth touching her belly.
“I love you, Kanae Shinazugawa,” he whispered against her scar, “Because of you, you’ve carried and birthed three angels into this world who’ve given me even more reasons to live, love, and laugh.”
“Oh?” Pulling both of his hands, she entwined her fingers with his. “What about me, then?”
With a chuckle, he kissed both the pulse points of her neck. “You, my darling, are my fairy angel. There can only be one in the whole wide world, and that is you. You’re the best thing I never knew I needed!”
“Did I ever tell you how much I love you?”
With a smirk, he answered, “Yes, you have multiple times, but never once do I ever get tired of hearing it.”
“Great!” Grinning up at him, she declared, “Because I love you, Sanemi Shinazugawa. I need you here always with me.”
Who knew that her words could result in him being so unexpectedly but undeniably happy with her right here with him? He had no idea, but now, it’s so clear that their unexpected happily ever after was even more perfect than it already was.
