Chapter Text

Kim Dokja barely caught the camera Song Minwoo threw at him. Clutching it tightly in his hands, he looked at him with confusion and barely hidden contempt. The boy tched, standing with two of his friends in tow.

"You'll be coming with us now," he stared at him in confusion. When they wanted to beat him up they just did, announcing themselves wasn't something common for them. At least, Kim Dokja has never experienced it before this moment.

"We're going to the so called haunted mansion now. You'll be our camera man, since you're used to being around them." He said that with a smirk on his face, his friends whose name Dokja didn't even know chuckled at his joke. Kim Dokja's brows furrowed, he hasn't seen the paparazzi since a month if he remembered well, yet they're still causing him trouble, in the name of Song Minwoo this time.

"Why...do you need a camera man?" He asked and the dark skinned man rolled his eyes In annoyance, as if hearing his question was unbearable for him. It probably was, since no matter what Kim Dokja said, he was annoyed by his very existence.

"We'll upload this onto YouTube later, you couldn't fucking think of something so simple in that small brain of yours?" He clenched his jaw and muttered a single sorry, looking down, while the two guys laughed once again. Perhaps because of how hopeless he looked. Song Minwoo's friends tended to do that. He didn't even know why he hated him so much. Kim Dokja has never done anything for him to bear such feelings towards him.

"Don't you dare let my equipment have even a single scratch. If I see anything wrong with it, you'll pay, you hear me?" He came closer in a way to intimidate him, though he didn't have to, Kim Dokja was already scared of him. Well, not exactly of him, his person was just unbearable and annoying, and Kim Dokja really didn't like being even in the same room as him, the feeling probably being reciprocated, but he was scared of the pain he'd cause him if he for some unexplainable reason annoyed him. With how many times he was beaten up by him or his goons one would think he'd get used to it, but sadly that wasn't the case. He nodded uneasily. He had a hunch they wanted to embarass him by just filming him instead to make fun of him, but he could do nothing but follow after them when they finally decided it was enough of threatening him for the moment.

The haunted mansion they were talking about has been in the neighbourhood since about 20 years. Kim Dokja remembered reading about it when he overheard his classmates talking about it in the class some time ago, whispering to each other how they wanted to go see for themselves whether it's really haunted. The estate was actually there longer, it was one of the first buildings that were built here if he remembered correctly, but he wasn't sure how long it was. The whole haunted situation came from the murder of the previous residents. Mr and Ms Lee. They were a rich couple who bought the mansion for a large sum of money, something about liking the area, only to die not long after by gruesome deaths. Lee Jiho got his stomach slit open and his organs ripped out. Lee Seoyeon, who was pregnant at the time, had her neck twisted and arms ripped off. Both the murders happened hours from each other from what he'd read and the murderer was never caught. Well, what really made it interesting is that there were no traces of them beside one single fingerprint, which turned out to be useless since the investigators couldn't find the match for it. After that, people from all around that place said that they've been hearing weird sounds coming from inside, others that there's a weird energy in there and some other things Kim Dokja didn't remember. He honestly didn't really believe in the rumours, he was sure everyone was on it, trying to get a minute of fame by giving the reporters any kind of information, which they are up happily.

He was curious of the murders, or more like, about the murderer. What was their motive?

The Lee's were adored, being known for being warm and welcoming, and while money could be the catch, after they died there was nothing missing from their bank accounts or their house, unless the police missed something, which he doubted.

He was brought back from his headspace when he almost walked into the backs of the boys. He was happy with himself for noticing them stopping even while having his head up in the clouds, because he really wasn't in the mood for Song Minwoo berating him again. It will absolutely happen at least twice later, but that didn't matter right now.

The mansion was huge, and he had to agree, it was dripping off of dark energy. He felt cold as hell.

"Begin." Song Minwoo looked at him, so Kim Dokja believed it was his go-to sign to start filming. Song Minwoo started the recording by pulling out one more camera out of his backpack. Yeah, they were totally planning to do something to him. He had no way to run away from them and even if he did, the repercussions for this action would have been tragic at school the following day, so he decided against it. Again.

Notes:

I used to have a notebook full of fanfic ideas that for some reason I threw away, and I'm mourning it since a few months ago because I have no ideas what to write and I had so many ideas there!! Ehh..
