Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky gets a do-over.
Aha, that first go was pretty traumatic, but surely everything will be much easier this time! Surely the System won't mess it up for him! Right? Right?

Summary
What if Stanley Johnston refused to go along with the pigeon plan, and simply decided to take Susie -- who has the whole list of Glass family farms in her head, after all -- instead?
OR
“Listen to me very carefully, Mr. Stevens. I am not the one on a clock. You are. Because every hour that you keep Susan Glass from me is another hour you should be putting time zones and extradition policies between my gun and your head. Which I suggest you start doing, post-fucking-haste. While I firmly believe you know exactly how to handle the kinds of thugs you deal with on a regular basis, you do not know me. You don’t know where I’ve been, what I’ve done, who I’ve done it to, or how much I enjoyed it. But you’re about to find out.”

Summary
In the aftermath, a thousand and one deaths flash before his eyes, and Ares feels them all. Every sword. Every spear. Every knife.
Over and over again, he breathes his last breath, sometimes at the hands of another soldier and sometimes at the hands of himself. He stares at his own face, caked in blood and viscera, and hates himself for loving it.
War is his vice of choice. It is his lover. His best friend. His worst enemy. He hates to love it, but no matter how he tries, he can’t seem to escape its clutches.
He’s not quite sure if he really wants to.- - -
It’s ironic, isn’t it? Ares hates all of Poseidon’s children with a vengeful fury, and yet, in this new world of Christianity and Capitalism, Perseus Fucking Jackson is the closest thing he has to a priest.

Summary
It takes a while for Batman and Superman to work things out, once Clark comes back from the dead. Pretending to date each other in order to explain why Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent are in the same place so often? Doesn't help as much as you might think.
Written as a fill for the dceu_kinkmeme prompt, summarized: Bruce/Clark, fake dating. (Full prompt in author's notes.)

“We rest in the shade of trees our ancestors planted.”
They called the man in the ice Yiling Laozu, after a folk hero associated with the town in the foothills of the mountains where he was found.
No one expected him to be alive!
