Summary
At this point, Techno can hardly blame his foster parents for kicking him so quickly. He's certainly the consistent variable of the situations, so it'd be stupid to pin it fully on so many others. And, well, they all give the same excuse for giving him up.
His epilepsy is too much for them to handle.
Sometimes, Techno wants to snap back that it's too much for him to handle too. And he can't just throw himself away to leave it behind. But that wouldn't help anything, except getting him gone even quicker.
So this time, Techno will not be difficult. He will not cause drama or stress or annoyance. He will not have constant fits that freak his foster family out. This time, Techno will be easy. And he will finally get to stay.

Summary
It's a simple life, living with vampires as a source of fresh blood. For Techno, it's practically the family trade, or as close as being trained and then sent off to be a feeder can be. He can always be certain that the coven he's serving will take care of him. Most humans don't have that, so he's grateful.
Philza and his coven are more of the same in a long line of vampires needing a blood source for injuries or illnesses. Techno is happy to provide. And if he's almost close enough to touch the fondness and love within the coven... he's grateful.

The morning sun peaked out from over the clouds, dripping light onto both of them, casting a halo of gold and divination onto Technoblade, the warmth calling Phil into it and calling his wings to soar. But he stays on the ground, watching his son with a smile.
He wishes they could stay there for just a moment, he hopes he’ll always remember this, this feeling between the two of them, the first time they are face to face and glowing with equal parts happiness and equal parts fear.

Phil started fostering Technoblade when he's merely ten, and since the first time the man laid eyes on him, he didn’t exactly scream “problem child” like his file had said. He looked like a child soldier returning from war; terrified and angry. The poor kid doesn’t look like he’s had a scrap of kindness his whole life and he wants to change that.

There's magic on his tongue, he's in his childhood home, and his family is still dysfunctional but they are at least together. He can prevent their destruction if he can just get past his own grown fears of them. He can do this by himself, it's what is best for them all. He can keep them from breaking apart, keep Wilbur and Tubbo from all the pain they've experienced. Tommy can do this for them, even if he's a little bit cracked now. If they get suspicious, well, what was that play Wilbur mentioned once? Hamlet? Tommy can just do what that guy did.
(Tommy time travels into the past and begins to disguise his traumatic responses as the same kind of Chat Madness his older brother Techno is known for. But madness begets madness, and how far can Tommy go with a lie that begins to bleed at the edges?)

Listen. Karl wasn’t suicidal. He wasn’t.
It was just – he’d been so sure that this was a Tale. This Quackity was… different. He had cold eyes and an even colder smile, and was the complete opposite of the warm and laughing fiancé Karl knew. Where his Quackity would’ve greeted him with a hug, this Quackity offered nothing but aloof detachment. Hell, Karl had never even heard of Las Nevadas.
Even so, he hadn’t been able to stand the thought of someone who looked so similar to his Quackity eventually killing him. So, he’d decided to speed up the process a little, and the second ‘Quackity’ turned his back, he tried to throw himself off the top of the Needle.
(He was just going home – to his fiancés.)
He hadn’t expected to be dragged back over the railing and far away from the edge with an endless litany of curses. And it was his Quackity, wide-eyed and terrified, hands desperately clutching at his jumper. “Karl, what the fuck?!”

Through a series of unfortunate events that are Techno's life, he ends up in the custody of his college-aged and practically estranged brother Phil. Saying that it's an adjustment would be the understatement of the year. It could be worse. But it sure as hell could be better too.
