His head explodes with sensation. All at once he can hear the heartbeats of everyone in the field. Some beat steadily; others quietly stop as the stones’ power reaches them. He can see sharper than he ever has, watching each piece of ash float away as Thanos dissolves in front of him. The smell would be the worst, his own burning flesh and the blood of the injured, if not for what he can feel.
His cells are dying, rapidly decaying and flaking away from the raw power of infinity coursing through him. At the same time, his body is fighting to replace each one and only succeeding by half. The ground cracks beneath the hand he catches himself on.

Peter snaps and saves the universe. Instead of dying, the snap triggers something. He's changing. Mutating. (The snap triggers Peter's BND transformation.)

When Peter goes to help out with the chaos that ensues, it's no surprise the situation goes from bad to worse when the crime-fighting spider is involved.

Summary
In which... Peter's AP Psychology teacher assigns a project centered around fathers and father figures, and Peter has to swallow his pride and fear of rejection to ask the only person in his life that can somewhat qualify under those terms—Tony Stark.
“So… you’re struggling to find a role model?” he says, the hurt exaggerated but the undertone suspiciously genuine. “Because, kid, I’ve got to admit—I’m pretty offended. You’ve got prime real estate sitting right here.”
He gestures to himself, throwing in a dramatic flourish for good measure. “Do you know how many people are lining up, just begging for an interview with the Tony Stark? A lot. And they’re all waitlisted, by the way, because I don’t do interviews anymore.”
Peter glances at him, fighting back a grin. He can already see the spark in Tony’s eye—the itch to climb onto his soapbox and launch into a tirade about how modern interviewers lack imagination. It’s one of Tony’s favorite topics, right up there with “how coffee in America is an abomination” and “the absolute travesty of poorly designed tech.”
