Summary

Or, Grian and Scar are invited over to Skizz and Impulse’s house for dinner, about halfway through their training with the older investigators. Things go downhill quicker than anyone is prepared for.
Grian and Scar visit Skizz and Impulse’s house for the first time, and we learn the origin of that special travel mug.

Summary
Gem is nervous.
She sits in her car in the Hermitcraft parking lot, clutching her satchel with both hands where it rests in her lap. She digs her fingers into it hard enough to indent the leather in an attempt to steady her shaking hands. It doesn’t work, and it doesn’t help, but she pretends it does.
When Xisuma approached her the day after Impulse Esvee, the most respected ghost hunter at Hermitcraft, sent her an email, Gem couldn’t help but think that it was a joke.
Or, Gemini Tay joins the group. She never expected it to be her job to pick up everyone’s broken pieces.

Summary
Impulse shakes his head, thoroughly confused. “Grian, why would you lie to Skizz?”
Grian doesn’t acknowledge Impulse’s words. “Can you get the camera as well? You know that you’re the best at it.”
Impulse grits his teeth. Grian is ignoring him, and he has no idea why. He doesn’t want to use his status as team leader to force Grian to answer him—it would be wrong, and he’s not willing to trigger Grian’s memories from his and Scar’s old organization—but this is important. Why would Grian tell Skizz that he’d wake him up when they arrived?
His hands flex into fists, then stretch out again at his sides. He picks up the EMF from where it hangs on the wall in an effort to distract himself from his frustration, but he’s too agitated to be able to relax. And Grian still hasn’t answered him.
Or, Skizz is sick, Impulse is acting strange, and Scar and Grian don’t know what to do without their anchors.

Summary
Xisuma stares at the two young men standing across from him.
One of them is short, with messy brown hair and bloodshot, swollen eyes that are only partially hidden behind round glasses. He tugs on his bright red tie and adjusts the collar of his suit so it covers his neck better.
The other is taller, but being on his feet is clearly causing him discomfort. He’s half-leaning against his friend, who is supporting him as subtly as possible. He wears a suit with a dark blue tie, and his collar is also high enough to conceal his throat. The space beneath his eyes is painted with dark circles.
Or, Xisuma interviews Scar and Grian for positions as paranormal investigators at Hermitcraft. In just one interaction, they’ve managed to worry him. He introduces them to the investigators he trusts most, in an attempt to help them.

Summary
“It is far too late for this,” Grian grouses, yawning against his will. The only one paying any real attention to him is Scar, who is nodding along in sympathy as he fiddles with one of his sound sensors. “How are we supposed to hunt any ghost if we can’t even stay awake?”
“Very good question,” Scar agrees sagely, and Grian huffs. He seems more genuinely frustrated than usual, but it’s Grian. He’s just like that sometimes.
“Usually I’d be in bed at this time, you know. All snuggled up and cozy.” Grian adjusts the high collar of his sweater and sniffs. “You’re ruining my sleep schedule by dragging me along.
“Aww, did G miss his bedtime?” Skizz teases, turning his flashlight on and off testingly. Grian turns a deathly blank glare on him, and Skizz laughs it off, completely unbothered. “Aw, you know I’m joking, bud. It’s late, I know, but we gotta do this job, G.”
Or, one of the ghost hunting trips that GIGS goes on is different from the others, and Grian and Scar can't help but be afraid. Impulse and Skizz are there, though, just like they always are.

Summary
Grian and Scar have joined Hermitcraft Paranormal Investigations, and they're in a crew with Skizz and Impulse. It took a long time to get here, and there's a long way to go, but they've made it further than they expected, and that's what matters.
Or, a GIGS (eventually GIGGS) Phasmophobia AU where everyone is hurting in some way, but they're all there for each other. Oh, and there are ghosts.

Summary
It started out like a routine ghost hunt. The van pulled up to whatever abandoned house it was this time, and the music they had been blasting for the last hour and a half shut off. Just like always. One of the van doors then swung open. It opened with such force it swung all the way backwards, bouncing back off the metal when it reached the hinges max range with a dull clink! Then, a man wearing a red jumper stepped out with a strange sense of urgency.
“Finally, oh my GOD. I was going insane in there!!” Grian had basically jumped out of the van, clearly exasperated. Gem opened her own door a tad more calmly, sliding out of the vehicle while responding with a barely concealed smirk.
“Grian, what are you talking about? We’ve been on rides much longer than that one!!” After hearing this nonsense, Grian exhaled loudly, very clearly annoyed.
“You know DANG well, that's not what I'm talking about Geminitay. You played Ariana Griande the WHOLE. TIME.”
OR
During what was supposed to be a routine ghost hunt, Impulse gets brutally tortured :D

Summary
Grian falls.
Dust and desert sand mingling with the blue of the sky and the green of cacti as he tumbles head over heels, and he’s afraid, he’s so afraid, but there’s only one way to end the game, and the fall is long.
Good. He’s glad that he will be lingering in the air for what feels like years. It will give him time to think, to process the overwhelming guilt and horror.
Or, there is a world where friends, family, and the fallen gather to welcome back each player who returns from Third Life. Grian wakes up there as a victor, unable to breathe.
Third Life had a greater effect on Grian than he’d like to admit. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have much of a choice.
