Summary
Lan Zhan is sitting on his poor excuse for a couch, hands on his lap, when Wei Ying returns. He looks so out of place in this dingy studio apartment. With his pristine white sweater and pale blue denim jeans, he looks more like he belongs on a runway than on Wei Ying’s questionable secondhand couch.
“Here.” He holds out the water bottle before sitting down next to him. The couch dips a little too low underneath their combined weight, but Lan Zhan says nothing. Wei Ying’s flatscreen television was a birthday gift from Nie Huaisang and it was probably the nicest thing he owned. His neighbor still has no idea that Wei Ying has been borrowing his Netflix account, not that it would matter much if he found out. “What do you want to watch? I’ll let you pick since you came all the way out to Brooklyn just to see me.”
(Or the one where Wei Ying just wants to get through his day to day and Lan Zhan just wants to help the man he’s in love with).
