Summary
“I need you to clear my name out of this fuckery. Also, if for some reason you suddenly decided to tell me what the hell is going on with you, perhaps I could help.”
“Why would I?”
“I believe that if you didn’t need help you wouldn’t be here in front of me at this very moment,” George retorted. The fucker is right.
The plan was simple: get in the Mercedes Plaza, find the Relic, get out. Bring Daniel back.
But plans rarely go well in Night City.
When Max is left for dead in a landfill after getting shot by Arasaka's rising menace, he wakes up with Daniel's mind cohabiting with his own, realising he is condemned to die.
Sabotaged by the people he trusted the most, George, a netrunner unaware of his giftedness, is forced to risk everything to save the only witness who can clear his name for a crime he didn't commit.

Summary
The championship was never supposed to come between them.
Max and George keep their relationship hidden, finding each other only in quiet moments between races and interviews. But as the title fight narrows to just the two of them, pressure turns silence into distance, and distance into something that starts to break.
One public moment changes everything, forcing them to confront what they’ve been avoiding all season: love that exists only in private cannot survive forever.
