Summary
Inspired by Halfway Happy, and pieces of other fics that will be linked as this progesses.
What if Steve Harrington was an experiment of the Lab, number 007, burdened with the unfortunate ability of immortality but at least he isn't alone. Another kid of the lab, around the same age as Steve, has been a part of Steve's life longer than he realized. 010 (Name to be revealed in second chapter of fic) went under many similar experiments as Steve in the lab being another immortal number, with their main ability being shapeshifting. Starts from before season 1 in the lab for a chapter, before starting around season 1/2 and going through the whole show. The lab will haunt the narrative? Have not decided whether story will go through season 5 or not. Will update in very long sporadic periods.

Hopefully each chapter with be named thematically after a song or lyrics from a song (Mainly 70s-80s songs), and each chapter will include a link of the song(s) + other songs that would've fit.

"Jason's screams fill Steve with satisfaction, his helpless please for mercy makes a smile tug at the corners of his mouth. This isn't supposed to feel like this, but he can't help it. He feels alive, killing Jason makes him feel good. He's doing a good thing. Jason is getting what he deserves, he thinks he can torment Eddie? HIS Eddie and get away with it? That's just stupid. No one gets to torment his precious Eddie and get away with it. As good as he feels no one can know.

Tommy's screams and pleading sends shivers down Eddie's spine. He never thought he could kill a person. But here he is. It's okay though, Tommy 100% deserves this, he hurt Steve. He busted up that beautiful face, bruised his golden skin, he thinks he can just get away with that? It's honestly a little funny, so Eddie feels no remorse. He smiles, this is a good thing. He's helping Steve, his beautiful, wonderful Steve will never have to deal with Tommy again. He's doing an amazing thing for his true love.
