Chell and GLaDOS have finally defeated Wheatley, but GLaDOS has one last trick up her sleeve. Determined to get rid of Chell and ensure she never comes back, GLaDOS sends her hurtling to another dimension thanks to an experimental device Aperture Science was working on before they were all killed by the A.I. And to add insult to injury, GLaDOS decides to give Chell some upgrades, just to make her that much of a problem for whoever ends up the survivor's enemy. And anyway, what are the chances of Chell ending up in a reality of superheroes?

Everything is brilliant! Fantastic, even! Aperture may be a little quiet without GLaDOS around, but Wheatley is managing just fine, thank you very much. That is, until an accident damages his carapace, and he finds himself being transferred into a new body with... appendages, and weird shards of glass in front of the opticals, and fabric over him...
Wheatley manages to traverse Aperture in this new body, which weirdly looks like a human, only to stumble across a lady who seems eager to leave. But why would anyone want to leave Aperture? And why is she so excited to see him?
