This is where the illness rears its symptoms. Gyuvin feels it under his tongue. He blinks, his heart sprinting through his chest. “Do what you want.”
“Right,” Ricky drops to his knees with a laugh. Gyuvin doesn’t know if he’s imagining the hollow echo in Ricky’s mirth, but the untethered thought flies away as soon as the other touches him.
In which Gyuvin has been driven sick with guilt ever since he was old enough to realize he doesn’t fit in with the world.
