Or, this is my hat in the ring in regards to Steve as Seven and what that would look like without a larger threat looming in the background.

Summary
Sometimes being a superhero isn’t really about the big epic battles to save the world; sometimes it’s about the quieter moments before, after, and in between. Eddie is a former sidekick taking on a bigger mantle after his uncle’s retirement. Steve is the genetic offspring of the world’s greatest hero and said hero’s greatest enemy, trying to live up to a legacy he only partially understands. Over the course of several years, they move in and out of each other’s lives, for better or worse, until they eventually reach the path to their happy ending.

Summary
"Every time Eddie Munson ran, he thought of Steve Harrington. Every time he saw a cassette tape or stared at the shoebox hidden in the back of his closet for too long, he remembered his face. He thought of Steve over plates of French toast with whipped cream. He thought of him while he stood in a mirror and flattened his chest until he looked "natural." He thought of him whenever he felt like running.
Steve and 'Betty.' Something he'd never get back."Or:
Steve and Eddie used to be best friends. Then, Eddie had to run. Will an evil nightmare-fueled wizard and impending apocalypse bring them back together?

Summary
“It’s some young guy,” she said. “Or, like, not super young. Our age, I think. Maybe a little older? From out of town. Or he is now, but used to be from here.”
“What? Who is?”
“That bought the Radioshack. Turning it into a bookstore? Some guy,” Robin continued. “That’s why Vickie even knows. They were trying to keep it all hush-hush because he didn’t want to buy it without, like, zoning permissions so he could do a full scale remodel to turn it into a bookstore. Otherwise he didn’t see a point, or so Vickie said Mrs Wheeler said.”
Or: Steve owns a movie theater, and a bookstore moves in across the street.
