Summary
Ryusui came back into awareness with a quiet gasp. His hand immediately flew up to his chest, grabbing at the soft fabric that was covering it. His skin was coated with sweat and his heart was racing fast enough that he didn't even need the hand of his chest to feel it. The gunshots still echoed in his ears, and his body instinctively braced itself for the impact.
It took him a while to register the tranquil silence he found himself in. The floor rocketed slightly in an almost even rhythm that Ryusui was more than just familiar with. It helped him pull his thoughts together. There was no fire around him. The air smelled of the sea, not of smoke like it had in what he now realized had been a dream.
Or: Ryusui has a nightmare, thinks back on the night in Araxa and goes to his brother for comfort.

Summary
Since joining the Perseus, Sai had become aware that there was something he was missing. Some kind of event that happened before he was revived, something big that nobody liked to talk about. He could especially see how it had impacted Ryusui, even if his brother tried not to make it obvious. So after gathering his courage, Sai went to talk to Ryusui about what had happened.
But nothing could have prepared him for what he was about to find out.

"KACCHAN?"
The scream ripped through the silence.
His voice quivered, but the name still forced its way out, as clear as day.
His hands, infused with electric green energy, clawed desperately through the rubble beneath him. Broken concrete scraped against his fingers as he shoved pieces of the collapsed building aside, searching for anything—anything—that meant Bakugou was still there.
"KACCHAN!"
No answer.
A metallic taste filled Izuku's mouth as he sharply inhaled. His breathing quickened, yet each breath remained fragmented and uneven. His hands moved without thought, desperately grabbing at whatever pieces of rubble reached his fingers first.
His focus kept him from noticing the warm crimson liquid running down his face, staining his torn shirt.
Blood dripped from a gash above his eyebrow, blurring his vision. Dust clogged his throat, every breath carrying the bitter taste of ash and metal. Somewhere nearby, twisted steel groaned under impossible strain.OR

Everything he’s found just says the disease has to do with love. Sure, Izuku loves, a lot. But there’s nothing about friends here, only romantic feelings and true loves and how the disease triggers from something specific for the most part. Usually a rejection or a big declaration of love and then it manifests within a month.
Izuku doesn’t get it. Not at all.
