Izuku barely noticed when his feet guided him to the ledge, he didn’t look down, instead focused on the sky above, clouds drifting, distant and high up. He wanted to be far away. He couldn’t be a hero so what was the point, he doubted his mother would even notice. It was so peaceful up here. The wind gently tugged at the aldera uniform, almost enticing.
How could he be a hero if he couldn’t even save himself? Maybe they were right after all.

Izuku has a mental breakdown after years of bullying and so accidentally takes a wrong turn on his way home one night. A panic attack hits as soon as villains jump him, leaving him too vulnerable to so much as move besides to collapse against the side of a building. Eraserhead hears the choked sobs and investigates.
You know what? Fuck it, let's make this where it's the day Izuku was supposed to meet All-Might and save Bakugou. He managed that, yes, but he took a few wrong steps afterwards. ;P
This is taking over my life and my mind, Inko refuses to believe Izuku's being bullied. She's a bad mom. She won't help her son. Why did I think of this? I blame Fluff_Master.

Desperate yowling cut through the night, accompanied by infrequent clanging. Shouta paused on the rooftop he had been running across and tried to determine the direction of the sound. Most likely a stray cat or some other animal. Shouta liked cats, and to a lesser extent all animals, so he wasn’t about to just leave it struggling. The poor thing could be hurt.
Soon enough, he tracked the commotion to a street that was starkly unpopulated at this time of night. The noise originated from some vending machines next to a bus stop, lit up by the soft glow of a streetlight. Shouta raised an eyebrow at the small rear end sticking out of the little door that the snacks dropped down into. Was that… a toddler? Out here? At this hour?

Midoriya Izuku doesn't want to meet any more of his soulmates. Not after the first one he met in middle school broke their bond, burning away their flowers. There was no way his soulmates would accept him. Quirkless, abandoned, and broken.
When he winds up being fostered by one and in the same class as a few others, will he be able to keep them away and shut them out of his life? Does he still want to?
