The one where Andrew makes a perfectly reasonable request and Neil takes it too far like the dumbass he is.
Or, relationships are complicated and communication is hard. They don't always nail it.
So, Andrew has hit his limit. Neil’s charged silence next to him is so loud that Andrew can’t read over the buzz of it in his ears.
“Get out,” he says, turning to glare at Neil.
Neil blinks at him.
“Whatever stupid thing you’re obsessing over. It’s irritating. I don’t have time to solve your problems for you. Handle it. I have to study.”
Instantly, he realizes it was a mistake. He watches Neil’s face and body shutter up, closing tight like he’s locking down for a hurricane. It took so fucking long to get Neil to open up in the first place. Andrew had to peel him open one truth at a time. Fuck.

Summary
He can already feel the flush on his cheeks stretching down his neck and across his shoulders. Neil is smiling again, pushing up to bring their lips together in a kiss much less frantic than the ones earlier. Andrew lets Neil set the pace, lets him lull him into a rhythm that makes his body throb.
This time when they break apart, Andrew kisses down his skin without taking the time to leave marks, simply enjoying the warmth of Neil beneath his lips. He pays special attention to Neil’s scars, feeling Neil’s hands come up to card through his hair as if he can’t help himself.
It’s only when Andrew moves down to his hips that he freezes.
“What the fuck is that.” Andrew knows each mark on Neil’s body, every scar and every freckle, but he’s never seen this before. He swipes at it with his thumb, as if the ink will smear, but it sits perfectly untouched on Neil’s hip.
“It’s a tattoo?” Neil sounds breathless, eyes half-lidded and hair an unruly mess as he looks down at him.

Summary
“He wants to ride the bull.” Neil says, making Andrew roll his eyes. Andrew sits down, not caring enough to join, and Neil lets Nicky lead him to the corner of the bar. Nicky’s attempt is almost good until he gets thrown off and bounces a few times against the padded floor. Neil laughs at Nicky and then Nicky stands up and bows, as if he did incredibly.
When Nicky gets out of the ring, he says, “You have to try it, it’s so fun.”
“I’d die before doing that.” Neil says, rolling his eyes as some poor girl is thrown off.
“I’ll give you fifty bucks to do it.” Nicky says, and that makes Neil’s eyebrow raise.
“A hundred.” Neil challenges, not expecting Nicky to agree.
“Fine.” Nicky says, grinning. “No takebacks. You’re riding that bull.” He says quickly and Neil sighs.
“Whatever,” Neil says, shaking his head.

“It was too much.” Andrew says, and Neil doesn’t understand what he’s talking about.
“We don’t have to do it again. You know I don’t care what we do or even if we do anything at all. You don’t have to do anything you aren’t comfortable doing.” Neil says, assuming that the fact that it was more than usual was bothering Andrew.
“No, idiot.” Andrew says, finally looking over at Neil, an unreadable, new expression on his face. “You. It was too much for you.” Andrew finally says, and Neil’s eyebrows shoot up at that statement.
OR
Neil has no idea what he likes sex-wise and figures something out about himself. Andrew thinks he went too far, and they decide to figure out what Neil likes together.

“Bee.” Andrew says, and Bee hums on the other line as Andrew figures out how to word this. “I think I asked Neil to marry me, and I don’t think he understood that’s what I was asking.” Andrew says, and Bee is quiet for a minute before finally replying.
“First of all, Andrew, I am so proud of you.” Bee says, emotions obvious in her voice. “I wasn’t sure you two were planning to go that route or not. You have come so incredibly far.” She says, and Andrew scoffs.
“Bee, get to second of all.” Andrew mumbles, and Bee laughs.

“And why do you think he didn’t understand that you were asking him?”
“Have you met him?” Andrew asks, and Bee laughs, but she tries to cover it up.
“I have, and I see your point.”

Summary
Neil is objectively hot. Andrew has always known this, from the day he smacked his racquet into Neil’s stomach and watched that razor-sharp jaw tilt his way. Andrew is used to people turning and staring, and while some of them are doing it to gawk at Neil’s vicious scars, plenty of their eyes grow hungry and dark.
Normally, this is an ego boost for Andrew. He got Neil. Out of everyone, Neil chose Andrew. He’s maddeningly attractive, hopelessly interesting, and endlessly understanding, and Andrew gets to revel in that.
So, yes, it is a kick in the face when he stumbles across a tabloid questioning the relationship between Neil and their teammate.
OR: Andrew is jealous, but maybe Neil is, too.
