Summary
Viktor is not the leader of the Haven community, no matter what Mel and Caitlyn say, but he does act as the spokesman when they're forced to deal with the other clans that roam the wastes. So when Ambessa Medarda and her warband show up at Haven's gates with a prisoner for trade, it's Viktor who goes to negotiate with her. Much to his shock, her prisoner turns out to be Jayce, whom Viktor has long known to be dead. But in the intervening years, Jayce has become something dangerous and feral, and he no longer remembers Viktor.
Obviously, Viktor isn't going to leave Jayce in the cruel hands of the Noxians, but he both longs for and dreads the moment that Jayce's memories return, because he knows that will be the moment that he loses Jayce again, forever.

Summary
He woke up in the woods with a head injury, a watch that could revive the dead, and a name that wasn't his. Did he mention the corpse in the water? Yeah. There was a corpse in the water.
Cut forward a few hours and he's promised to help a girl find her murderer in a small town where almost everyone can use magic, curses are something people have to navigate on a daily basis, and a good portion of population has been turned into crows. Well, at least she's promised to help him track down the person that belongs to the name he remembers. Too bad that person is also the sorcerer responsible for turning people into crows and has an army of red-eyed simulacra at his beck and call.

2: Don’t figure out that you are fucking your future research partner“Caitlyn, our new blacksmith needs proper garb before the gates open in the morning. Would you please show him to his site and introduce him to my darling tailor? It would seem he’s set up just across the lane from Jayce’s smithy.”
Mel Medarda smiles.
“Please inform Viktor that he can thank me later.”
Jayce and Viktor have a couple problems.
