And at the little sliver of Klein’s childhood that had missed praying publicly to the Goddess, which Zhou had needed to hide away to keep Benson, Melissa, and himself safe while on the run from 0-08 and Ince Zangwill.
“I ask that even though I cannot make a ritual altar for you, I pray you hear me out regardless. I have nowhere else to turn, and with no allies I can contact I will likely die or worse at the hands of MI9 within the next few days. Please…” His voice, even with the Clown Potion helping him keep the worst of his emotions locked behind his perfect mask, still cracked minutely. He coughed. “Help my allies find me..."
“Praise the Lady,” he intoned after a moment of silence, his fingers instinctively tapping out the Crimson Moon on his chest.
---Atypical Cat Catching fic where MI9 captures Klein at the end of Volume 3 and Klein begs the Goddess to save him when all else fails. Then the Goddess does a little too good of a job trying to keep "Her" cat in "Her" clutches.

Summary
Autobot Intelligence has discovered the location of a Decepticon base holding vital information. For better success and efficiency, Prowl, a junior tactician, and a Spec Ops agent named Jazz are assigned to the mission. Interesting characters are met along the way to the base, but Prowl can't help but notice something strange between all of them.
Meanwhile, Bluestreak and Smokescreen start to worry for Prowl's safety. Their concern only grows when they find evidence that his placement on this mission may be more malicious than they'd originally thought.

The mirror at 2 Daffodil Street reflected a scholarly-looking man with a deep outline. The figure wore a victorian-esque cosplay, with a gentlemanly half-top hat and suit.
Briefly, he admired the suit, as he felt he looked more handsome and cleancut in it, as someone self-conscious of his appearance both in body’s memory and his mind of the past. The style still felt a little strange, however, and also unreal.
At least, I am not that chubby in this body… the man lampooned himself. Is this, called the great secret benefit of transmigrating? ‘This one secret trick will solve all your body issues’?
I really miss it though…

A wonderful exploration of Volume One, spinning Klein's reasonable yearning for home into a disguise for a much bigger threat. Definitely angst, but it is not one without hope and kindness. It is firmly rooted in the characters and setting, so it plays out as a horrifying alternative where Ince Zangwill targeted Klein instead of Old Neil, and accidentally hit the Aurora Order gold mine.
