Summary
In his junior year of high school, Eddie awakes to find a stranger in his bed — another teen named Evan, whose reality magically overlaps with his. Though they fear they’ll never see each other again once the night is over, the magic will last. Through football games, relationships, college, motorcycle crashes, bartending, travelling, unexpected fatherhood, enlisting for war, coming home, and everything in between.
All this on the stage of their shared bed, where the light is dim and the sound is low. They learn sign language to communicate with each other when whispers alone won’t suffice. Their intimate meetings force them to start thinking about what they truly want and who they truly want to be. Evan just wants a family, and Eddie… Eddie wants so many things he can’t bring himself to face. He comes alive when Evan touches him, but how can he accept it?
What better place than a bed to find out?

Summary
Wings are a gift from the universe, and that’s why, given time, almost any wing injury will heal. Unlike a regular bird, a downed human always has the hope that they will fly again someday. But still, it’s easier said than done. A pair of wings is beautiful, but the healing process can be gory and miserable. Old scars must reopen to make way for new tissue; the body is thrown off balance and makes all its needs known insistently. For this reason, people whose wings are injured in especially traumatic circumstances often find themselves unable to let their wings heal.

Summary
After Noctis is infected with the Starscourge, he is unable to enter the Crystal to fulfil his destiny as the King of Light. Ignis and Gladio return to Lucis to look after Noctis’s people, but Prompto can’t bring himself to abandon his best friend, his partner. Now, a year later, the Long Night is in full swing. Prompto does his best to try and keep the few human survivors of Gralea alive, while Noctis rules Gralea’s daemons from the ruins of Zegnautus Keep.

eddie's not entirely sure he believes in getting help, at least not for himself. there's only so much healing to be had for a body torn apart by bullets, for a mind that's only half there, for a man who's been leaving pieces of himself behind all his life with nothing to take their place.
except, as it turns out, falling apart happens in increments, and healing does, too: it happens when you gnaw a hole in your lip trying to keep quiet only to have the words escape; when you realize that the ghost you've been seeing out of the corner of your eye is yourself; when your best friend smiles, and you allow it to take your breath away.
it happens through the smallest of things: bird feeders, and cacti, and pasta shapes.
meanwhile, the world goes on.

This time last year Eddie was preparing to support Chris through another winter solstice without his mom. Now, packless and unsure of the path ahead, every crisp breeze washes over him as an urgent reminder that he still has no plan for his and his pup’s winter shelter.
The past few weeks in their current lodgings have been peaceful. So unnervingly peaceful that Eddie isn’t remotely surprised when the other shoe finally drops.

Or, Eddie leaves the Diaz pack in search of a better life for him and his son. In the woods somewhere, he finds exactly that.

Summary
Eddie realizes in stages: the man’s slings look professional even if they’re made out of cast-off fabric from God knows where. The boy is wearing a striped shirt. The man’s leg is stiff, like Buck always denies his still gets sometimes and his brain gets caught on the word Buck, plays it over and over, and if he thinks the word and after that name he’s going to have to fall to his knees and never get up again.
Buck doesn't lose Chris in the tsunami, but as a result, he injures both of his arms. Eddie brings him home, and discovers that he wants him to stay.
