If you had asked Sherlock Holmes -- nearly eleven years old and in his second year of having been transplanted from his beloved London to the tedious environs of Greenwich, Connecticut, due to his father having taken on a job assignment in New York City -- the old-fashioned mode of running away lacked imagination. He considered the temporary hiatus he was planning to be less a running from somewhere and more a running to somewhere. Preferably to an indoor place, a comfortable place. An interesting place; a place where surprising and mysterious things were in plentiful supply, even a grand place. And preferably with best friend John Watson by his side.

Summary
Things are pretty good. Sherlock has a good job, a nice flat, and he and Victor Trevor have been together for ten years. They never even fight. They never anything, actually, but things are good. Sort of. Then again, maybe things are actually extremely boring and it will take an aborted mugging, a new friend, and a Doctor Who marathon to remind Sherlock that there's significantly more to life than reading the newspaper and cooking dinner. And then maybe once Sherlock leaves papers and dinners behind, he'll find something better.
