“He’s in Shanghai. He’s not making any public appearances.”
“And how long, exactly, has he been in Shanghai?”
Ash takes a moment to evaluate the situation. He lowers his gun. He doesn’t put it away – not yet.
“You killed him.”
Yau-si’s smile grows sharper. “Of course.”
“Why?”

Summary
Constructs: robots with human neural tissue, built for quick, efficient judgment-making, but more dangerous as a consequence. So long as they have controls in place, and those controls aren’t abused, they’re perfectly safe. Without it, surely they’ll kill everyone in sight. After all, it’s only natural. They’re part human.
Xie Lian (expensive, customised, one-of-a-kind rogue CombatUnit), has spent over 175,000 hours as a being with free will, mostly just trying to get by. However, despite being considered lost in the battle that decimated the planet he was built to protect, he is still legally owned by his manufacturer: BaiWu.
Xie Lian has spent a lot of time pretending to be someone and something else. When he reunites with old friends and meets a charming stranger who seems like someone he can finally open up to, he finds himself wrapped in a galaxy-spanning conspiracy with the need to answer one question: does he still remember how to be himself?
And, more importantly: how can he make himself, a weapon of mass destruction, into the kind of person he wants to be?
Alternatively; a far future sci-fi reimagining of TGCF, complete with robots, a capitalist dystopia, and space pirates.

I would never have seen peace, but I would not have been trapped by my violence. Not a single soul in this world is truly human, and anyone who pretends otherwise is lying to themselves. Each and every one of us is a chunk ripped violently from the flesh of the rest of the universe. What does it matter, how many pieces we’re in?

Summary
Podfic. Posting on Mondays and Fridays. When trying to transfer Shen Yuan from the real world to Proud Immortal Demon Way, the System runs into an error. The transfer is not complete.
Shen Yuan is dropped off at the foot of a mountain aware of two things: he's in the story, and the Shen Qingqiu of this world is not only aware but thinks he tried to possess his body — and he's PISSED. Shen Yuan tries to opt out and live a simple life on what locals tell him is a monster-infested mountain no one in their right mind would bother with.
Sounds like a great hiding spot!
