Ilya Rozanov has a problem. A massive fucking problem.
A massive fucking problem that comes in the form of the MHL’s second overall draft pick, one Shane Hollander, who ends up going to the Montreal Metros. Ilya is posing beside him, watching him plaster on his PR smile, when he gets a whiff of the Canadian’s scent.
Cold. Chilled, maybe, perhaps icy like the arenas he plays in. A hint of something spiced and warm. Ginger? It tickles at Ilya’s nose. Something beneath that, fruity and slightly floral. Juicy, refreshing. But lingering around the man is the scent of death and something coppery.

For an entire workday, the recording captured the day-to-day operations of the Irina Foundation: Shane quietly running a nonprofit dedicated to giving kids opportunities through hockey and supporting mental health organizations, Ilya dropping in to annoy his husband, coaches worrying about their campers, and the two of them being entirely too in love.
Then the audio leaks.
The hockey world listens.
