Summary
“What the hell happened?”
“I had a slight run-in with a cab.”
“A slight run-in with a cab.” Harvey frowns, eyes darting from the torn knees of Mike’s pants to his rumpled tie to what Mike can only assume is a pretty bad scrape on his cheek, judging from the stinging and the blood he’s wiped away multiple times in the last fifteen minutes. “It doesn’t look very ‘slight.’”

Dean gets cursed on a hunt gone wrong, and Sam finds himself stuck on the road with a scared and withdrawn 4 year old version of his big brother. Sam is determined to fix it. He knows he can fix it. Summary
“What about you?”
Sam sighs dramatically, almost pretending to think. “Yellow,” he tutts.
Dean clatters around the shower again. “Like?”
Sam wonders about that. Butter, gold, sand… Things like bananas and lemons are too bright. Too vibrant. The kind of yellow he likes is less outward and more—more a feeling.
Like how a sunny day feels on your skin. How a big firework settles in your stomach. How driving past a field of daffodils momentarily splits your attention, almost reeling you in like an electron to a proton.
A negative to a positive. A wound to a scar, a problem to a solution.
Sam to Dean. A mantra. Me to you.
But he might as well pick something that can fly. “Like a canary.”
(even years without him, sam could never have forgotten what it meant to be dean winchester's brother.)
