“What a strange wolf,” Blade murmurs. “Are you an imagenae?” Bandaged fingers move with increasing confidence, rubbing behind furry ears. Seeming to think of something, he says, “I don’t have any food for you.”
Ashveil huffs. He didn’t come for food. Having successfully received the other’s interest, he boldly hops onto the bench and puts his head in Blade’s lap.
Blade’s brows raise slightly at the wolf’s brazenness, but the dim light in his eyes warms by a few degrees.
