Summary
A not-canon compliant story for Prompto and Noctis. Soulmates, Astrals, awkward teen feelings, and an eventual road trip.
Prompto finds his Soulmate and is thrown into a world of politics, danger, and a family dynamic he had only ever imagined.
When Niflheim get word of Prince Noctis' new partner, they aim to take advantage.-
...staring down at him with mouths open a little in some kind of disgust, was the Prince of fucking Lucis and his retainer. He met his stormy blue eyes briefly, felt that sizzle, saw the reaction as he felt it too, and then thought about dying. Embarrassment. Shame. Horror. All these were only minor compared to the overwhelming sense of despair that flooded him.
He stayed kneeling on the tiled floor, shaking and a little terrified, until the retainer: a man immaculately dressed with bright green eyes behind stylish glasses - not taped together like his own, politely coughed, “Apologies, the door was ajar. If you're quite finished? Or do you require assistance?”

"No-" Wally's voice is rough with lingering dredges of sleep. It's hard to imagine less than an hour ago, he had been counting sheep in his borrowed bed. He clears his throat and tries again, pleading urgently with the nurse, "I'm alright. Please focus on the boy."
'Boy.' Jason is only fifteen, Wally's pretty sure. Tiny. Powerless. He should call Batman and demand answers. Why is Robin in Ethiopia and not Gotham? Where were you? He doesn't remember Barry questioning Batman's authority often. But Barry would've never let Kid Flash be in another country alone with no teammates and no mentor.
-Wally West has been the Flash for only a few months after his uncle sacrifices himself to save the world. Barry had been a hero. Wally's just trying to get by. Then Wally goes for a standard run that leads him stumbling across a badly beaten Robin. He saves him. He has no idea yet, but this changes everything.

Lovely Wally Characterization, so very bad at facing his own feelings and grief, very very willing to worry about Jason and Dick instead. Love the unacknowledged low self-esteem, the grief at recently losing his uncle, the unexamined trauma of having a father that tried to kill you.
