In a period between R1 and R2, Suzaku Kururugi had an epiphany of sorts and decided on a more productive, direct approach to changing the tyrannical Empire of Britannia from within and this would only start by recruiting only the most notable of fighters who had earned a reputation for rebelling against the vile superpower. Starting with Leila Malcal and Oldrin Zevon, two remarkable women who were not only beautiful but also highly capable and revered by their respective factions from where they serve. If he couldn't convince them he was on the side of justice and against Britannia with words, then he'll have to convince them in a more intimate way to show his conviction.
