Summary
The Federation have found a legal loop hole to permanently deal with their augment problem and so Julian once again finds him self kidnapped. Garak, trying to single handedly solve all of Cardassia's problems has had to turn to some unconventional avenues in lieu of legal ones. The fates align to make sure they meet again.

After Julian's genetic staus is revealed, Garak confronts Julian, will they be able to repair their friendship in time to deal with a potential Dominion plot? Earth it seems has the answers but to get them they will need to engage in a spot of vole hunting. If they do well maybe there's some shore leave in it for them.

Summary
There is the sure thing, and there is the thing that Garak truly wants. Longs for, even, if he permitted himself such indulgences. Gambler’s logic dictates there a clear path forward in such a situation. Unfortunately, despite his name, Garak has never been a wise gambler.
(or: Garak finds some prospective enjoyable company for the night, then is abruptly—and primally—reminded why he holds out hope for one oh-so-appealing Doctor)

A slight mishap in the lab results in Julian being doused in the pheromones of many, many species. Unfortunately (fortunately?), they aren't all the kind that make people want to have sex with you - and whatever the Cardassian pheromone is, Garak really doesn't seem to like it.

Summary
When Garak sent Julian his manuscript—allegedly his life story—he had expected his dear doctor to read it in English. He forgot that Julian is far too clever for his own good.
Now that Julian has read A Stitch in Time in the original Cardassian, he’s finally beginning to suspect a number of things that really should have been obvious.

Summary
To repair the damage done by its interference in the Demilitarised Zone, the Cardassian government has proposed a marriage-enjoinment between one of its citizens and one of the Federation's to symbolise the renewed relations between the two governments. Julian had gladly agreed to marry Garak, Central Command's "volunteer," but now he's learning all over again that nothing involving Cardassians in general and Garak in particular is as simple as it appears on the surface.
