“I just figured you were weirdly small. Do Watchers have runts?” Xander asked only half-mockingly, eyebrows raising at the immediate response.
“Excuse me!? I am perfectly average-sized for a—” Xelqua stopped.
“...For a what?”
“...For a,” The Watcher hunched into itself and checked over its shoulder. Which was completely unnecessary, considering Watchers can always see in all directions, “...Player.”
The last word was whispered so quietly that Xander had to strain to hear it, and even then he questioned if he’d heard it right.
“You’re a Player?” Xander asked incredulously, part insulted that it would try to fool him and part horrified that that was a possibility in the first place.
---(Xelqua is a new Watcher. Xander, fondly known to many as Evil Xisuma, is a new prisoner of the Watchers. Neither of them want to be there.)

Summary
Several years after Damian came to Gotham and took the Robin mantle away from Drake, he's grown a lot. Enough to want to apologize to his predecessor; and enough to wonder why nobody else in the family seems concerned that Drake has almost completely disengaged himself from the people that are supposed to be his family.
He goes to the only other person who used to be part of the family until he too removed himself from it: Jason Todd.

It doesn't matter how sanitized you make a story, there will always be those who remember the purpose of fairytales: to teach a lesson and give a warning.
Apple White can't see past her own nose and realize that if her Happily Ever After can only come at the expense of her best friend's misery, then she doesn't deserve to have it.
In each one-shot, Raven Queen holds the cards and lessons are learned.Raven Queen deserves better and I know it’s a mostly dead fandom, but IDC, hopefully this can get me back into writing. I'll add more as I see fit.
