Summary
With his unstable cultivation and a cold night with wet skin, Shen Qingqiu suffers a fever and a Qi Deviation, alone with none the wiser. In one world he died and his foundation was unstable enough to accept a completely foreign soul drifting into the deficit. In this one, the soul was his own but broken from life; it tethered him to his body, sharing the fate of one path walked to the bloody end, before tired wisps like ink in water or smoke in a breeze dispersed for the final rest.

Shen Qingqiu gains knowledge of how the PIDW timeline played out and decides if he's going to die, he's going to make sure his Sect and disciples are strong enough to stand without him, because while it was the Beast that cut him down then, there were other blades glinting in the shadows. Summary
Shen Jiu was dirty, exhausted and rightfully wary when he followed Qi-Ge now known as Yue Qingyuan to his sect, to meet his Shizun and fellow martial siblings.
He expected to fight tooth and nail for respect, he expected to dig until he bled to crave a place for himself on the mountain. To be met with hostility or some kind of pain.
What he had no expected however, was to be met with open arms, getting spoiled by every single head disciple and peak lord he spoke to, followed and protected by their resident war god, have his every wish catered to as well as be given the position of a head disciple almost right away.
Just what is wrong with the sect!? Are they all insane??
______________
Or: a year before Shen Jiu joined the sect, the entire Qing generation of head disciples were cursed by gods for sins they committed in their past lives. Their only chance to redeem themselves and fix their mistakes was to make it up to the reincarnation of the person they had hurt.
The person being the newest edition to their sect. The green eyed, sarcastic but adorable martial sibling. Shen Jiu.
Or: a time travel fix it, except no one remembers anything but they still must fix it somehow...
