Summary
The hellhound is already beside the car, looking ready to stick its head through the broken window and take a nibble out of him. Percy half-hopes that the dog would decide that the birds would make better feasting, but like everything else in his life, nothing is that easy. It just stares at him hungrily while the Symphalian Birds swarm towards the open window.
Okay then. Time for one of Percy’s Signature Stupid Plan™.
Calling it a plan may be a little too generous, because Percy didn’t exactly have the time to think. It’s just an idea flying on a wing and a prayer, literally.
