Summary
“Whenever you want to leave, we can go,” Ed told him, immediately met with a snort.
“Oh come on. The general lives like an hour away, plus he snores like an elephant on tranquilizers in his sleep. Just stay with me.”
All eyes turned to Joaquín then, wide open. But Sam is the one who said, “Huh?”
“Yeah, huh?” the colonel weighed in.
Joaquín looked a little insecure now, eyes landing on Sam’s and staying there, his the only reaction he cared about. “I mean, I live like 20 minutes from here, I’m clean, and I snore like a fairy taking a little nap on a flower petal.”
A little part of Sam’s heart warmed at that, unable to help a small smile.
“Don’t you wanna fuck this man?”

The first time Sam met Joaquín, it was warm.
And Sam was the coldest he had ever been.Bookmarked by Bacon13

Summary
“I always hoped I’d meet a cute guy in the grocery store.”
Sam can’t help but burst out laughing. James Buchanan Barnes of this universe is flirting with him in such a dorky manner that he just can’t believe this is real.
A heavy flush creeps up to Steve’s face as he joins in on the laughter sheepishly. “What? Was it – Sorry, that was dumb, huh?”
Sam shakes his head, his hand finding the handle of his cart. “No, man, sorry,” he lets out, grinning ear to ear. “It’s not dumb. It was cute."
Steve raises his brows, smiling. “Cute?”
Sam's smile doesn't falter. “Yeah, cute.”

Sam falls into Fresh (2022)'s universe and meets Steve Kemp — a man with the same face as his partner and feels a little off (in more ways than one).

Summary
chaos theory
noun
the branch of mathematics that deals with complex systems whose behaviour is highly sensitive to slight changes in conditions, so that small alterations can give rise to strikingly great consequences.'Is this really worth it?' Seems to be a recurring thought throughout Noir's life.
He remembers thinking it at nine years old after snapping Lewis Frankel's neck. He remembers thinking it after Soldier Boy ruined his chance of being in Beverly Hills Cop. He remembers thinking it as his skull was smashed in by the same man who had taken everything from him.
Now, here he is, forty years later. Despite being broken, the same whispering self-doubt has managed to cling onto whatever husk that's still left of him, murmuring a tiny, ‘was stopping him worth it?’
Noir shoves the thought down like every other time.
He doubts that the whole ordeal with Starlight and The Deep will affect anything. It was just one awkward moment he stumbled into by accident. How much could that possibly change for him?
-
A rewrite of The Boys from Black Noir's POV if he had accidentally interrupted Starlight and The Deep's first meeting.
