Summary
After the loss of her grandfather, William Chase, Annabeth has inherited Oakhaven Island in Muskoka, Canada, a place she hasn't been able to visit since she was five years old. Seeking an escape from her strict life in California, she takes a spontaneous trip to the island, sees familiar faces, and meets people who just might change her life, for better or for worse.
Annabeth Chase begins to accept that she may actually be wanted by someone.
*Just for context purposes, Luke is 23 (gross), Thalia is 20, and Estelle is 7. The rest of the gang is 17-18. I know its not the same age difference in the books, but this is just what I wanted for my story :)
**The plot and some dialogue are heavily inspired by the show "Sterling Point" which if you haven't watched PLEASE WATCH ITS SO GOOD OMG

“‘Wanted’?” Percy clarifies, eyebrows furrowed. “Did you already do it?”
“I’m doing it every day,” she answers enigmatically, a different kind of smile on her face that he can’t place. “It was nice meeting you, Percy. Thanks for walking me home.”

no real plot, no real timeline. set before/after heroes of olympus or whenever your heart desires—i’m not here to disrupt your headcanons. this is a slow, realistic build: two teenagers in love, figuring everything out for the first time. it’s awkward and sweet and hot. annabeth learning the one place she likes giving up control. percy being the quietly powerful sweetheart we know and love. it’s a character study, kind of. mostly just them being very, very them. messy, fumbly, tender.
