Summary
For all the horror of the thought, there’s a strange, uneasy comfort in knowing they’ll face that day together, if it ever comes. Better to face the madness of eternity together than to bear it alone. It’s the one certainty he has right now, maybe the only one he’ll ever have: they are bound, now and forever, to walk this earth together, and they will die together when their times comes, extinguished in the same last breath, carried to Anachora on the same current of the same cursed, tainted blood.
Coen used to be afraid of dying alone. Now he never will.
or: They find their footing. Of course, that was never meant to last. Ambrus has never found himself in a situation he cannot self-sabotage. Coen has never learned not to take him by his word.

Summary
After a great many years of conflict, Rosaria and the Northern Territories have finally declared peace. Clive's marriage to Silvermane's daughter is assurance of that peace. Though Clive would never say it out loud, if given the choice, he much preferred being a pawn of his father’s diplomacy than a bargaining chip in his mother’s ill-concealed avarice.
There is just one issue; his father has betrothed him to an Ice Witch.

Summary
"I fucked your mill maid."
The sentence is so rogue, Henry doesn't hear its meaning at first. "What?"
"Theresa," Hans says, and the name is strange on his tongue. A priest delivering a Czech mass. "I fucked her in her stinking barn while you were idling away in Sasau Monastery."
While locked in the Troskowitz pillory, Henry becomes an unwilling participant in the world's strangest confessional.
