    Tadashi remembers the way Hiro avoided everyone. The way Hiro was quick to assume no one would get him. Meanwhile, Tadashi was the opposite. He would try to connect with anyone he met. But no matter how nice Tadashi was – no matter how kind and helpful he was – no one ever returned the favour to him in high school. Helping his classmates never served him. No friendships. No kindness.

    It’s strange to think about how Tadashi was once okay with getting nothing in return.

    Looking back, what was the point? Even now, what is the point when anyone could turn on him at any moment? Sure, now he has people at SFIT who have his back. But he also thought his professor had his back. Clearly, Tadashi was wrong.
