“I wanna be the one that makes your day”
-Rex Orange County
________
“Has anyone ever had Hal tell you he loves you?”
It’s Clark’s words that fill the vacant silence that had ensued after Batman’s debrief, a silence now awkward and the only thing breaking it being the soft snores of the test pilot.
It continued for another moment before Ollie raises a hand. “He’s told me.”
Everyone just stared at him and he gives a noncommittal shrug. “What? He’s probably said it to you guys too, don’t make it weird.”
_______
Or; Five times Hal unknowingly makes his coworkers and coworker’s kids feel appreciated by saying he loves them and one time he gets the appreciation he deserves. (Ft. Caffeine)

Summary
Thirteen-year-old Jason Todd was stuck navigating life, maneuvering around his father and his unpredictable moods, while chasing the education he's always wanted. A surprise scholarship to Gotham Academy mid-way through the semester left Jason excited and hopeful for a brighter future, and life seemed good at first. He even made some friends, when a twelve-year-old named Tim Drake got assigned to show him around and decided to fold Jason into his little friend group.
But the longer Jason was there, the more angry his dad became. The more time Jason spent at school, the less time he spent running drugs for Black Mask's gang, and if Jason didn't pick up the slack, who was going to pay for his dad's alcohol habit?
Jason didn’t need rescuing. He wasn’t a damsel in distress, and this wasn’t a fantasy novel. But when his path crossed with Batman, Jason was going to have a mighty hard time saying "no."
