Levi’s intensity is a familiar fire to Hange, one they’ve passed through their hands hundreds of times. They’re used to deflecting it. To lie below it and feels its press, instead, they find it doesn’t sear in the same way they expect.
All they think, in the space between, is how Levi grasped their cloak at the port. How there was no letting go.

Before Talon, Sett did odd jobs. Whatever was nearby and needed doin’. Whatever the full-men didn’t want to touch with a ten foot pole. Giant spiders crawled up from Hell or runaway golems or the occasional werewolf lurking in the forests. So long as it paid, it was fine. And people get desperate, so it paid. Then Talon comes along and offers him a real job, one of them usually reserved for full-men or cocky fools. A big bounty with bigger teeth: Vampires.
Sett figures he can handle it, no problem. The real question is if he can handle Talon.
