Summary
It’s been a long time since I’ve had to write a letter. Usually, I deliver messages myself. Offers better incentive when I’m looking for information. But this time, I guess I’m just looking to pass on some of my own. Because if you’re reading this, Vaultie, things just didn’t pan out.
I’ll spare you the wondering this time.

And he’s already walking away.

And at first, he’s sure she’s a hallucination. But there’s an angry bruise on her cheek that hadn’t been there the last time he saw her. Wherever it is her daddy had taken her, she’s fucking broken out already. And she’s here. Pointing a gun at his face. Her own an angry mask, bleeding another kind of hurt.
He doesn’t bother trying to fight it. She might as well. Hell, he’s not even mad at her.
He deserves this.

The person who saves the Ghoul from going feral on that old lamppost is the one he leasts expects- the one that put him there. Lucy MacLean. -

The silence is deafening.
Ever since she stepped out of Vault 33, there’s been nothing but noise. Gunshots, shouts, and screech of some irradiated creature. The whisper of the wind. The click of his inhaler as he sucked in another vial.
It feels so wrong, being alone. Being in a vault, again.
She doesn’t even know if he’s still alive.

Summary
Fics & ficlets I’ve had running through my head and want to put out in the ether. Mostly Matt whump with a little silliness down the road (esp as I drift more into Avengers crossovers).
Mostly stand-alone, though others in the series can add context for character interactions as that builds. But think of it more as snapshots over time instead of a continuous narrative.
Current theory is that it's how I process my own sensitive senses and chronic pain. But I'm at the point I keep cycling these in my head, re-editing them, and it's becoming a problem for focus and sleep. I'm hoping that getting them out of my head will help me stop #@!&ing thinking about them finally.
I feel like I’ve read just about every DD fanfic on this site at this point, and I'm sometimes unsure if my ideas are actually original versus just an amalgamation of all I’ve read Frankensteined together. To that effect, if you notice something is super similar to something else you've read, then my brain probably looped it in to my own story, so please let me know in the comments so I can take a look to see if I remember it, then credit it under 'remix/inspired by' accordingly.

The discrepancies are small, subtle, and add up to a picture that doesn't quite fit. But Clint understands secrets. He files the observations away, a mystery to be appreciated, not solved.
