Summary
During their first year at U.A., through hardships and tragedies, Shouto and Katsuki have forged an unexpectedly close bond, though it seems that no one, not even the two of them, knows how deep that connection really goes—not yet, at least.
The beginning of their second year goes about as smoothly as it probably could've, and everyone seems mostly okay. Everyone except Shouto, that is.When Shouto is affected by a quirk that induces narcoleptic-type symptoms, there may be more to this quirk than meets the eye. And it seems that, finally, Shouto is going to have to face the toll his upbringing and its fallout have taken on him.
At the same time, Katsuki must work through insecurity, learn to trust, and finally come to terms with his sexuality.

Filling in the blanks of canon (first year) THEN (second year) classic quirk accident shenanigans, all with a heavy dose of angst, pining, and whump.

“You don’t understand,” Shoto's voice faltered, “he– he’s going to ruin everything. He’ll make sure you get fired, and he could get your hero licence revoked, and it’s... it’s just not worth it.”
Aizawa regarded him. “Maybe it’s true that those things could happen, though I’ll try my best to prevent it. But– there’s something else I want you to know.” Aizawa cupped Shoto’s cheek and gently guided his face away from the window and towards him. His eyes glistened wet in the classroom light— full of sincerity, of pain, and… and something else. Something Shoto couldn't place. Something he could never place.
Aizawa softly stroked one of Shoto’s tears away with his thumb. “Look at me, kid. And I want you to remember this. I want you to remember. Do you understand?"
Shoto nodded.
“If it means keeping you safe, it will always be worth it to me."
Or
Shoto tries very hard to keep Endeavours 'training' a secret from Aizawa, Bakugou and Midoriya. They find out anyways. Comfort ensues. Angst ensues. Friendship ensues.
And Aizawa is determined to save his student.

His forehead hits the keyboard.
Shouto jerks upright, clenching his eyes shut before opening wide.
His brain takes a moment to start up again, possibly rebooting by itself from that crash.

Keigo did not expect to find out Endeavor kept a four year old locked in a basement, revealed by his oldest brother. He didn't expect to ever become a parental figure. Shoto never expected anyone to love him, because he was a monster. An unlovable beast who would only hurt others. Touya didn't expect to actually find someone to care about him and his brother, to rescue the person he loved dearest. None of them expected to craft a little family, holding strong through every nightmare that came because of what Shoto was. None of them expected to ever have lives full of love, loyalty and devotion, and would NEVER allow one another to be hurt. Too bad it was so often out of their control.
Or in which Shoto is half ghoul with constant problems, Keigo had no idea he wanted a family, and Touya just wanted what was best for his abused baby brother.
