Louis rose from the bed. Lestat let his gaze trail after him through the amber lamplight, watching the lean stretch of his back as he crossed to the nightstand. He drew out two ties. Silk, familiar, one navy, one charcoal.
"Hands," Louis said.
Lestat went willingly. Theatrically, even, crossed his wrists against the iron headboard. "If you're planning to rob me, cher, I should warn you—my heart's already stolen."
Or: the one that kind of explains why Louis de Pointe du Lac ended up with a nesting alpha in his bed.

"You want what?"
"Roleplay, mon cher." Lestat said it the way other men said good morning—bright, blameless, as though the thing were already decided and only the details remained. He was draped over the back of the sofa, chin propped on his folded arms, watching Louis work with the fixed, luminous attention of a cat at a fish tank. "All the modern couples are doing it. It's recommended. For the health of the relationship."
Or: Lestat coaxes Louis into a plumber/lonely housewife roleplay. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

He expects to feel as self-conscious as he has every time he's ever done this, especially given how immediately Armand's eyes zero in between his thighs. Only the squirming, helpless sensation doesn't come. Something about the cast that Armand's face has taken; there's nothing of the devouring, conquering hunger Louis's memories had led him to expect. Armand still looks taken entirely aback. And nervous, more than a little.
Louis coaxes Armand into trying something different, and very much enjoys the results.

But Lestat’s eyes drift away, bypassing Louis’s gaze.
“Will you tell me what happened at the butcher shop?” Lestat murmurs, his voice strained.
