Summary
Normally if Peter wanted space, Erik wouldn’t hesitate to respect it. He was a grown man after all. He didn’t need Erik as a father in the same way Nina had.
But standing amidst a minefield of bloodied clothes and held away from his wounded child by a mere wooden door, instinct overthrew every other thought as Erik twisted his hand and unlocked the door with his powers, nearly crushing the mechanism in the process. Apologies could be made later. But for now, Erik would rather face Peter’s wrath than face his grave.
As the door flew open with a forceful magnetic shove, Erik felt his heart stutter at the sight of his son staring back at him with stunned, tearful eyes, stripped down to his boxers and absolutely covered in blood. It was everywhere. On Peter’s hands, painted across his face, stained into his chest, setting into his hair- it was impossible to tell where it began or ended.
“Oh God- Peter…” Erik breathed in horror.
Tears spilled over his son’s cheeks, cutting through the bloodstains on his skin like rivers, before he answered in a shattered whisper, “Dad…”

Or, Erik helps Peter through the aftermath of a failed mission.

Summary
The day starts off normally enough.
Catra’s out on her own, tracking down a small cluster of clones that have taken it upon themselves to continue following Horde Prime, even though he’s fucking dead. It’s stupid and dumb and Catra hates that she has to do this, but somebody has to, so it might as well be her.
Adora hates that it has to be her.
But….Catra can’t help with the rebuilding efforts. She just can’t. She wants to, desperately. She wants to fix everything that she broke, damn what happens to her and how long it takes.
The people of Etheria though….they don’t want that.
(Catra goes out to capture some of Horde Prime's Clones, and stumbles on something from her past in the process)

Summary
“Peter?”
The boy -because he would always be that extraordinary, mischievous, quick-witted boy from the Pentagon to him- turned to face Erik with a bright smile.
“Magnets!” Peter greeted as he lifted the goggles from his face. “Long time no see, huh?”
“Indeed,” Erik said as he finally stopped before the boy, taking in his familiar yet aged features with a new appreciation. They hadn’t had a chance to speak after the whole situation with En Sabah Nur, but it was nice to see that the talented young teen from all those years ago had found a place that appreciated his gifts in the X-Men.
After giving a nod of reassurance to the wary mutants still standing around them, Erik waited until they all dispersed before asking the boy curtly “So, to what do we owe the pleasure?”
Peter’s eyes widened just a fraction in alarm. “The Professor didn’t tell you?”
“No. Feel free to enlighten me.”
Letting out a sigh, Peter shook off the panic with a sheepish smile and announced, “I’m your new liaison, congratulations!”

Or, Peter is assigned as Genosha's official government liasion, and turns Erik's house into a home.
