Which is rude. She's still trying not to think about him. She's been trying not to think about the way he had cradled her face earlier when he saved her from the wreckage in Manhattan; like she was something precious.

“No, Ned, just,” MJ rolls her eyes, turns the knob, and swings the door open.
Inside, her room only displays slight disorder—the bed unmade, her desk covered in charcoals and pastels, some clothes on the floor—but the thing that immediately catches Ned's eye is the gigantic rolling cork board by the window, which is covered in photos and notecards and red yarn.
At the center of it all, as the focal point where everything connects, is a picture of Spider-Man.
“Oh, good,” Ned doubles over with relief. “I thought I was gonna have to convince you.”

Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.

Order 66 goes out. The clone troopers execute their Generals. Jaro Tapal dies in an escape pod and Cal lands on Bracca alone, one of the few surviving Jedi in a galaxy that suddenly wants him dead. Under those circumstances, all he can do is blend in with the scrappers, keep his head down and his eyes open, and try to trust in a Force he can no longer connect with. He shuts his mouth so he never says anything suspicious and then decides perhaps it’s best if he just doesn’t talk at all.
After five years, he’s pretty sure he’s forgotten how.

It wasn't exactly how Izuku had seen his day going. He could honestly say that killing the No. 2 Pro Hero had not been part of his life plan. Well, what was done was done. Accidents happened, and his accomplices in both the murder, as well as the cover up thereof, were actually very nice people, so really he couldn't complain. That Endeavor's son was one of them, they were all future classmates in UA's hero course and that the accidental killings just kept piling up when no one else seemed to have similar issues were all minor details really. After the fourth time it happens, though, they decide that they should probably get that under control before they ended up full time Pros. Or in Tartarus. Maybe becoming quirkless vigilantes would help?
