"Haven't i- oh yeah I haven't said it yet. You two have to find and defeat a hidden assassin in the Ball." Ranpo said, throwing away a wrap of another strawberry candy.
Kunikida then spoke up, "but who exactly will the the one to be the woman undercover, Sir Fukuzawa?" Kunikida asked and Fukuzawa answered rather quickly, "You, Kunikida."

His night becomes even more insufferable when a man with a concerning amount of bandages plops down on the seat next to his, and starts talking to him, introducing himself as Dazai Osamu. Then proceeds to make his evening worse, by apparently being an INSUFFERABLE MAN INSTEAD OF BEING A RESPECTABLE HUMAN! What the hell is he, 15?! Why the hell is he acting so childish-?! (A/N: shhhh That's him being able to act like himself after a long long time Kunikida-kun... Let him have it.)

The first thought he had when he awoke was—
…How boring.
A rather out of place thought considering what followed next was—
Fuck.
(Which, he considered, was a much more adequate response.)
That was the only conscious thought he had before every other sense was promptly deluged by an overwhelming heat.
Really, Hajime found that he had started getting a tad bit more used to life on the island (at least, as used as you can get when you're forced into a killing game by a sadistic, animatronic bear) so he would've preferred to wake up the same as he usually did: grumbling and gaining consciousness upon hearing that wretched morning announcement. He also would've preferred to not wake up absolutely drenched in sweat.
However, he was clearly not that fortunate.
OR an AU where Hajime gets the Despair Disease instead of Nagito and suffers the ensuing consequences (cue the hurt/comfort (hopefully)). This also leads to me rewriting Chapter 3 completely.
