    Inspired by Starember's Belly Dancing Xie Lian art.
    This fic is set during the Ottoman Empire. In which Hua Cheng is the third son of the current Sultan. During the marriage of one of his many sisters, a dancer caught his eye during the celebration. Known as the prince with the worst temper, cold-hearted to those who are not his mother, aunt or cousins, the chosen frightened dancers are brought to the prince's quarters for entertainment. Only to have their lives changed by meeting their fated ones. Xie Lian, a slave child forced to learn how to entertain, has secretly taught himself and his singular friend magic, arts only for the privileged. Unable to control his powers properly, he is the key to saving and reuniting with his fated one after the death of the current Sultan.

    Remotely, he registered Pei Ming's enthusiastic inquiry but was too dumbstruck to parry with a witty response.

    "So, explain—I'm not very well-versed in all this gay stuff… Did you get dumped or is it him courting you?"

    Muy bueno por cuenta propia.
    Kinda Slow Burn. Toda la mierda de JW fue BRUTAL. Luego, todo en torno a la primera vez de nuestro duo fue intenso y doloroso y ME ENCANTO!
    Muy tiernos, muy bonitos.
    Para el final, ambos definitivamente tienen sentimientos tan intensos q rozan lo preocupante, pero hay comunicación y están bien encaminados, asi q déjalos ser felices.
    Uno de estas historias con "personaje depresivo decide ayudar a personaje que ha tenido una vida de mierda. Desarrollan una relación con devoción mutua atravesada por el autodesprecio que cada uno se profesa a si mismo."
    Logra hacer un "dark!Xie Lian attacks Wu Ming" y equilibrarlo en esa fina línea en q XL hace algo mayoritariamente horrible (mi pobre WM tiene su primera vez sexual y una sesión de BDSM extremo y no oactado en un solo encuentro) y aun asi no lo puedes odiar. Todo lo que XL vivió ese día con JW, la reacción de XL frente a sus propias acciones (tan visceral, de arrepentimiento y autodesprecio puro), todo. Queda claro q es una víctima que atacó a otro contra su voluntad. (Tambien facilita "perdonarlo" cuando HC no se percibe a si mismo como una victima, probablemente parcialmente por su estado mental y enamoramiento).
    XL definitivamente tiene unas tendencias violentas, HC definitivamente tiene problemas de autoestima serios, pero ambos se estabilizan mutuamente lo suficiente como oara crear una dinámica cool.

    Notas del WIP: HC y XL están en Paradise Manor. | HC ya le contó a XL q Yong An habia caído y los espíritus resentidos se liberaron, lo q XL interpretó como q él lo habia hecho (HC no ha tenido el espacio para corregirlo). | Vía contarle a XL q él era el fuego fantasma q liberó, HC logró convencerlo de q no es BWX. | XL rebuscó en la oficina de HC, y gracias a notas y dibujos descubrió el nombte actual de HC y q es Hong-Er. | FX y MQ fueron a joder a Paradise Manor, acusando a HC de secuestrar a XL. HC les explicó q volvió a perder la memoria y hasta donde. No los dejó verlo. | HC habia ido a ver a MNQ para averiguar sobre la maldición. Su mejor teoría es q XL tiene q sentirse cómodo/seguro para poder recuperar sus recuerdos. | XL le arrancó la máscara a WM. Vio sus ojos heterocromaticos y quedó prendado (creo q HC malinterpretó un poco su reacción). | XL acaba de quedarse dormido abrazado por HC (se resistió mucho, pero él tambien lo quiere un montón).

    But because of that, he hadn't shown Xie Lian that he was there. When a presence was too faint, how could one be expected to sense it? He should have been bolder, even risking angering Dianxia, if only to show him he wasn't alone."

    Xie Lian remembers falling asleep at his husband's side in their shared bed, but he wakes up to the familiar scent of rotting, dirt, and iron in a familiar coffin more than seven hundred years ago. His memories are a mess and he can't figure out how he landed in the past although he isn't entirely alone. Black Water Sinking Ships is there and while he can help fill in some of the blanks, the reality of their situation is grim and there doesn't seem to be a way back home.

    Buenísima.Top. logra coordinar muchos personajes a la vez, crear toda una historia fuera del drama romántico pero sin dejarlo aparte. Es buenísima. Ha cada paso te está generando alguna emoción intensa. Reí y sufrí un montón. Logró q empatizara un poco más con MQ. Me encanta lo impredecible q es todo, hace q la historia este más viva, sea más real. Es q hasta la última escena la hizo con maestría! Amé
    XL es quien disfruta sonrojando a su HC, ahora q tiene 500 años de experiencia como marido. Es una amenaza.
    Escenas impactantes: La depresión de XL (al principio) y la de HX (tras la partida de SQX y SW). XL en el torneo contra Tai Hua, XL y MQ en el horno con BWX. La boda con todos felices al final. La historia tiene mucho valor al poner a sus personajes en situaciones horribles, con desenlace horribles, y eso me encanta.
