Summary
Draco Malfoy is not raised at the Manor.
Instead, he grows up as Draco Black between two very different guardians: Severus Snape, precise and unyielding, and Sirius Black, reckless and stubbornly devoted.
Make of that what you will.With Lily Potter and James Potter alive, the war ends differently. There is still Hogwarts. Still Ministry politics. Still all the usual problems, including exams, expectations, and making consistently questionable life choices.
This series follows Draco growing up outside the life he was meant to inherit.
Drarry begins in Part 4 for those who wish to skip ahead.

Summary
Ten years after the end of the war, Draco has completely and totally moved on from his short lived thing with Harry Potter. But as Potter agrees to be the next Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, Draco realizes that he might not be as over Potter as he had thought. If only the school year didn't also bring planning a ball in just a few months, attempts to befriend the other new professors, and dangerous incidents that may or may not be accidental, Draco would have the opportunity to resolve these feelings for Potter.
