Welcome to Eastgate Museum and Institution.
Anthony Crowley knows what wanting looks like. He’s spent years finding it in art of the Baroque and Renaissiance: parted lips, outstretched hands carrying bowed heads and knees pressed into the ground.
Then museum director Dr. Aziraphale Fell comes across Crowley’s work and invites him to lecture at Eastgate. Wanting becomes surrender, surrender becomes trust, and Crowley discovers there is a difference between studying desire and having someone study him with the same attention.
“Aziraphale leaned back slightly and studied the man across from him. He had spent hours with Crowley’s words, following them through paintings and bodies caught forever in the act of reaching.
“When did you first see it?”
Crowley frowned. “See what?”
“The pleasure.”

When Crowley turned his attention back to his husband, his eyes drank in the sight of him, now shirtless, his chest and stomach so soft and warm and inviting. He made no attempt to hide his raking gaze that looked over the other and Aziraphale gave him a coy smile. "Enjoying the view, my dear?" he asked as he ran his hand down his chest from sternum to navel. "And when I stroke myself thusly, do you find it…enticing?"
Thusly. Thusly. It was like being seduced by the Oxford New English Dictionary. It was all so silly, and yet there was nothing in the world that Crowley found sexier.
