Summary
The Corinthian never forgot or abandoned a hunt, never let go until flesh had given way beneath his knife, until eyes were popping between his teeth, sweet and satisfying. There was none of that feeling of resolution, here. No lingering taste of blood to tell him he’d fulfilled his purpose once more. Whatever he’d been stalking had eluded him, somehow, leaving only a persistent itch, deep behind his eyes. It felt like static, like slowly-squirming maggots. Not painful, something to the left of that. The Corinthian knew how to deal with pain, but this? This was new, and utterly distracting. Uncomfortable. Like there was a foreign body lodged in his brain, like something had been extracted and replaced with sawdust, or cotton wool.

The Case of the Man Who Two-Thirds Wasn't There by glisteningceruleaneyes
Fandoms: Disco Elysium (Video Game)

Summary
Three-and-one-third bodies have been found in an abandoned vehicle on the riverbank.
It would be a challenging case even without the bad weather, weapons smuggling, white nationalists, industrial accidents, and the concept of pedigree dog breeds—but over it all hangs one troubling question: What is it that fascinates you about Kim Kitsuragi? Is it working class camaraderie? A sinister hex of mysterious origin? Did you imprint on him in Martinaise, like an amnesiac duckling? If you don’t figure out what’s going on soon, people are going to start to notice. Especially him.
And sooner or later? Everything is related to the case.

Summary
A gamebreaking glitch tore the game session to shreds, right before they reached the end. Dirk Strider was already dead at the time. Temporarily. Which left him to revive in the aftermath. As the Prince of Heart, he doesn't have much experience putting souls back together, only breaking them, but at this point he seems to be the only one who even knows shit is broken.
He's the last person who'd trust himself with this. Not when he's out of time, out of place, and over his head being responsible for a little brother, a life, and a body his conveniently dead asshole of a splinterself already, thoroughly fucked up.
AKA: A game crash creates an unholy mashup of who the hell knows how many sburb sessions, and Dirk-as-Bro attempts to figure out wtf happened and how to fix shit for the brother who fears him, and the friends who don’t remember him. Because that’s what he does. But no Dirk has ever excelled when truly alone. Good thing he isn’t, he just needs to learn how to accept the help.

He Says He Is An Experimental Theologian by ErinPtah
Fandoms: Welcome to Night Vale, His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman

Summary
Ever since Carlos was little, he and his daemon have been fans of Dr. Lyra Belacqua. Both as the most groundbreaking experimental theologian of the 20th century, and as the heroine of dozens of fantasy-adventure children's stories (based very loosely on her own mysterious childhood).
But Lyra's true legacy is still bigger than Carlos ever imagined...until he took a team of scholars to study Rusakov particles in the most theologically interesting community in Hispania Nova. Now his own day-to-day life is full of things like angels, witches, hooded spectres, portals between worlds, vague yet menacing branches of the Magisterium, and a man who walks around without his daemon and can read an alethiometer as easily as a stop sign.

Spiritual Successor to "It Came From the Vents." Gordon Freeman has spent three years trying to stabilize the AIs he befriended after a disastrous end to a military project. He's stolen company property, ignored his family, and neglected himself in hopes of success. Now that he's made progress, it's becoming increasingly apparent that one of the AIs in question may not be a program at all. No one can say for certain what this revelation will lead to, but one thing's for sure: HR is going to have a field day with this one.

Summary
When Herbert Lyndon died, he left behind a will with a single stipulation: all three of his grandchildren live in Pelican Town for a year, or the farm goes to the highest bidder. Not wanting to see Joja take over his legacy, Eli, Ava and Mal agree to take the leap, despite knowing next to nothing about farming. For his part, Alex is just trying to get by; he's not looking for anything, and definitely not from the Big Man's grandkids. But some things are inevitable, and roots have a way of growing in the Valley, whether anyone likes it or not.
