Summary
The topic of blood never comes up, though Katana assumes that's a thankful consequences of Hyperlaser wearing a helmet. Through the lines of chatter, it seems the mercenary has found a new focus to turn his attention to.
Hyperlaser has his gaze flickering back and fourth to the for-once occupied contents of the net attached to his belt. It takes him a few seconds of thoughtful silence —presumably observing the perfectly rounded, white ,glass— before he slowly turns to Katana.
“Is that.. from your ‘hunting’?” He asks, something Katana had occasionally mentioned during their hours of drinking. Fear doesn’t impede his tone, instead it’s edging more along the lines of hesitation or even confusion.
“Indeed.”
“..I had always figured you meant animals."
After a tense night of 'hunting', Katana happens to run into Hyperlaser under ..dubious circumstances in the middle of Crossroads. In some way or another, it leads to wound care between company.

Summary
There’s the sound of a tail thumping against the sand. By some depravity still lingering in his bones, the ache in Firebrand’s body burns at the thought of seeing them disappear once again into that dark tunnel. Hurts him enough to grit teeth. Firebrand, desperate to not want them to leave, lets a pitiful noise from his mouth that he wouldn’t have allowed otherwise.
He croons. Hears the rumble echo throughout the cave, of all things loud enough to make them pause in their step. It’s a far cry from his usual growl— all too desperate and warm to resemble an awfully content hum. Katana freezes in the doorway. An arm rests on the hilt of his sword, unmoving but not untensing either. Where Katana’s sole back gives no hint of a reaction, Medkit fills any details of thought with the way his eye is widened into a dotted pupil. There’s the slow turning of the teal demon’s head.
“..Is there something we missed?” Katana murmurs.
Or, wasting away in the depths of Lost Temple, Firebrand is disgraced and most of all .. sick.

His hand is gripping his sword so hard it hurts. If he was any less sane, he’d have already hit himself on the head again to stop this ceaseless torture. D3rlord3 cuts the voices off and snaps. “—Stop it. Why am I here? Why haven't you killed me?”
Drink, first.
“Answer me,” he retorts.
Drink and I will, Little Lord.
As the weight of insurmountable knowledge rapidly decays D3rlord3's skull, he goes back to the gate in a desperate attempt to find an answer.
What awaits him, is a chair and something to drink.

“You’re a mess,” Capitano tells him. It’s no critique, just an observation. Three steel-clawed fingers comb through the scruff of Varka’s beard, along the curve of his chin and the soft skin just beneath. Each claw is dangerously sharp and could, in less than a second, have Varka’s blood spilling onto them. “Your heart rate used to spike to the heavens when I touched you like this.”
